LADY☆CHOPPER by Sana

Stepped for BESTmix by ???

Length: 1:50
Difficulties: 3/5/7

This song is the first track on Sana's 2006 mini-album "Avril", and what a track it is! I've been wanting to step this awesome disco-style song for a while, but ended up saving it for the next OSC competition, which I guess is this one. No, I have no idea what the name means.

Light is a pretty basic chart, as expected. I wasn't feeling too inspired when I made it, to be honest, but it's still decent I think. Begins with basic 4th streams, goes into freezes midway through the verse, and then the chorus lets the beginning player practice on some simple step-jumps.

Standard is nice! Standard 4th and 8th usage to begin with (the song makes it really work, though) then moving into some nice freeze usage that continues throughout most of the song. I think it's a pretty cool chart, even if nobody's going to play it :P

Heavy also uses freezes quite liberally, but in a different way to Standard, which I think is good. This chart also introduces some crossovers, both the obvious (most of the ones in the steps) and the more subtle (the jumps in the final phrases of the song). Overall I think this one turned out well too.

The graphics and video banner are actually from the anime "Lucky Star". :) Hey, I needed a decent image of a disco ball and some footage of one spinning, and they fit the bill nicely. Hopefully the banner should be onsync to the song's beat, if not try scrolling off it and back on again. Graphics made in Photoshop (banner made in Photoshop and VirtualDub), and song cut made in CoolEdit. Fonts used were "Madonna", "Cupertino" and "Alba".

Have fun!
